I rate Hard Nose pretty similarly to Saint Dominic's, although the cover art is truly abysmal.
The three song run of "Warm Love", "Hard Nose" and "Wild Children" is really wonderful. The rest is pleasant if unremarkable. And only Willie Nelson can pull off a Kermit the Frog song.
I do appreciate how Van can make the word "child" almost as long as "heaven" though. Van's never met a word that he couldn't turn into a full sentence. It's a gift.
I can listen to the title track from this album all day. I still listen to it on a regular basis. The rest of the album? Not so much. As if that song diminishes all the others.
"Pitch Successful (While Van is here, he can remind Mitch and Ken who the lead singer of Thin Lizzy is.)"
Question for Mitch: What if it had been Hard Nose The Highway? Now that would have presented a serious dilemma! Thanks guys, another top read.

Nice callback, CJ.
Thanks Darryl! The door opened. I just walked through it.
